Card Pages[]
Whenever you create a new card page, you should use Template:CardTable. It creates an infobox on the right side of the page which summarizes all of the card attributes. It will also automatically add the appropriate categories for faction, rarity, release set, type, and subtype. Simply create a new blank page using the exact card name, then copy and paste the code from the template page and fill in the appropriate fields.
There are fields for every card level but every one doesn't need to be filled in. In fact, if a piece of information, such as card type, is the same at every level, it's better to just fill in the first field and leave the other levels blank. It will give a cleaner looking infobox. The additional fields are for special cards like Scythe of Chiron that change at different levels. When filling in the text fields, remember to use the keyword templates for the additional features. When in doubt about a particular card attribute, consult existing pages to see how it was handled previously.
The preference for card images is to use the art without the card frame and use separate files for each level. The template will create tabs at the top of the image for each level (see Iron Maiden). Leaving out the card frame prevents the need to update images if they change in future releases. The image filename should follow the convention [card name]_[level #].jpg. For example, level 2 art for Grove Huntress would be named "Grove Huntress 2.jpg". Alternate art files can also be included and will be shown at the bottom of the infobox.
In addition to the infobox, card pages can include sections for History (Xithian Direhound), Bugs (Anvillon Arbiter), and/or complex rules interaction (Shardplate Behemoth). If you include a "Bugs" section, make sure to add the page to Category:Bugged so users can easily find trouble cards.
With the Rebalance, History sections are now the norm on card pages instead of the exception. For consistency, you can use the following format to include versions of the cards prior to the rebalancing. Add changes to text and creature types as necessary. The section tags are invisible on the card page but make the text more easily findable with DPL calls. The category tag automatically adds the page the the "Revised" category. See Grave Ghast as an example.
==History== <section begin=Phase 1 Changes /> Stats prior to [[Rebalance#Phase 2|phase 2]] of the rebalance. *{{attack}}3/{{health}}5 *{{attack}}6/{{health}}10 *{{attack}}12/{{health}}16 <section end=Phase 1 Changes /> [[category:Revised]]
Templates[]
There are several templates available to users to make editing more efficient.
Card Tooltips[]
Mouseover tooltips are available for card names with Template:cardtt. Simply pass the exact card name to the template to get the functionality.
{{cardtt|Ionic Warcharger}}
If you misspell a card name, Spark Bot will let you know
Xrath, Dreadknight Of Varna
It's a good idea to use the tooltip template whenever possible. It will allow users to get card information without clicking away from pages, making the reading experience much more efficient. The tooltips are currently generated dynamically, pulling information directly from the card pages. If information changes on a card page, the tooltip will update automatically (once the cache data clears). The styling and functionality are not set in stone so if you'd like to see something different, let us know on the Community Portal.
Keyword Templates[]
Many cards in Solforge use keyword abilities such as Breakthrough or Armor. When you click on the keyword in game a short description pops up telling you what the keyword does. Keyword templates mimic this behavior in the wiki. If you want to use a keyword template, simply put double curly brackets around the keyword you're using. For example, type the following to use the Aggressive template.
{{Aggressive}}
Which gives you this...
Abilities that involve numbers look like this
{{Poison|3}}
The templates create a link to the keyword article page as well as a custom tool tip containing the same description that is used in game. It will also add the appropriate category to the page it is used on, which is very useful for card pages
Set Symbol Templates[]
Note: This feature became obsolete with the release of Set 7 and the new card designs. Sets no longer have set symbols.
Templates are also available for displaying set symbol icons. The following code will produce the symbol from set 5 with coloring for heroic rarity. It will also create a mouseover tooltip stating the which set and rarity the symbol represents.
{{SetSymbol|5|Heroic}}
This template is used on card pages and set pages but can be used elsewhere as well. See Template:SetSymbol for more usage details.
Card/Deck Lists[]
The wiki uses Dynamic Page List (DPL) templates to create lists of cards. The attributes for the cards are pulled directly from the card pages so if changes are made to cards, the data in the lists will stay up to date.
Template:CardList byCat will create a list of cards from a given category. For example...
{{CardList byCat|Solbind}}
Gives you a list of all cards with the Solbind ability.

If new cards are released with the Solbind ability, they will be added to the list when their card page is created. Currently, the template will only take one category as an input but it may be possible to expand this, to create a list of Heroic cards with Mobility, for example. Let us know if this functionality would be useful to you!
