DescriptionEdit

A creature or player with Armor X prevents the first X damage dealt to it each turn.

Armor is an additional layer of protection that a creature or player can have in excess of its health. Armor will neutralize the first damage done to a creature per turn, up to the number of Armor points the creature has. Any damage done in excess of the amount of Armor is inflicted on the creature's health.

Unlike health, Armor is not reduced when it absorbs damage, and the protection it grants is regained at the beginning of the next turn. The protective ability of Armor can be reduced by successive damage during a single turn. Armor, like Poison and Regenerate, can stack, meaning that if two or more separate effects give Armor to a target, the resulting amount of Armor is equal to the sum of the effects, which will increase the amount of damage that can be absorbed.

Armor will not stop an ability that reduces health, such as the effect of Ghastly Touch.

Armor is primarily found on and granted by Alloyin Faction cards.

Situation #1:

A Level 1 Forgeplate Sentry is attacked by a Level 1 Ether Hounds. The Forgeplate Sentry has Armor 1 and the Ether Hounds has Attack 3. The armor will neutralize one point of damage and the Forgeplate Sentry's health is reduced by two.

Situation #2:

A Level 1 Oreian Battledroid has Armor 5. It is in the same lane as a Level 1 Spark Bot. During battle, the Oreian Battledroid inflicts five damage to the Spark Bot's health, reducing it to one. The Spark Bot's Attack 5 inflicts no damage to the Oreian Battledroid's health because the Battledroid's Armor neutralizes the damage. The turn ends. The next turn begins. During battle this turn the monsters attack each other again. The Oreian Battledroid inflicts five damage to the Spark Bot's health, destroying it. The Spark Bot's Attack 5 again is neutralized by the Oreian Battledroid's Armor and no damage is inflicted.

Situation #3:

A Level 2 Oreian Battledroid has Armor 7, and is opposite a Level 1 Master of Elements. A Level 1 Firefist Uranti uses its special ability to inflict three points of damage to the Oreian Battledroid. The armor neutralizes three damage. During battle, the Master of Elements inflicts five damage to the Battledroid. The armor can now only neutralize four damage, and one damage is inflicted to the Oreian Battledroid's health, which reduces it to zero and destroys it.

Situation #4:

A Level 2 Scrapforge Titan has Armor 5, Attack 5, and Health 5. The opposing player activates a Level 3 Epidemic, which reduces the health of the Scrapforge Titan by six. The Armor cannot neutralize the effect of Epidemic because it is a health reduction, not damage. Scrapforge Titan's health is reduced below zero, and it is destroyed.
